Blog Post February 2025
Hi Mamas,
This winter has really been digging its heels in hasn’t it? When it first begins, I find winter cosy and soothing. It’s like a lovely excuse to put on pyjamas at 5:00 p.m. and settle in for the night with no guilt, only snuggly joy! Winter is a good time to rest, renew and reflect. A time to take stock and slow down, just as nature does during this season. I do love slowing down and enjoying a period of renewal.
However I am so over it! I am done with the cold and the bare trees and seemingly never ending snow. I have noticed myself feeling restless this last week or two, ready to embrace the new season and all the possibilities and changes and excitement it might bring. Thankfully, nature seems to agree as spring is most definitely in the air these past few days and it seems our very cold winter is finally over. I am not one to usually talk about the weather haha but I do feel it has been such a good metaphor for my mood these past few weeks, especially when I noticed a significant mood lift and energy change now the cold spell is over.
We mamas move in seasons, just like nature does, and when I walked yesterday for the first time in weeks, I saw buds on one of the trees and felt the world was ready for some change too. Let’s get ready to embrace the spring season with energy and creativity. Every spring is the same but different, which we can take both comfort and excitement from.
This mama is ready for longer days, sunshine, warmth, walks in nature, spring sports and the anticipation of dreamy balmy long summer nights.
Have a great week and let's get ready to BeMoreMom.

Weekly Reminder - "I am energized and excited for everything that is about to happen" (say in your head, whisper, say out loud, write it down and shout it out, multiple times a day).
Weekly Read/Audible - Essentialism by Greg McKeown - how we can simplify everything and do less in every area to actually be able to do more. I just finished it and it is great for both work and life.
Weekly Reset - Pick two small things you will add into or take away from your day for the spring season. eg - eat 100 calories less per day or do 10 sit ups per day, read each day with each child, or remember to take their phones away every night at 9pm, or keep your bedroom clutter free by doing a 5 minute tidy around each night. Remember that little and often is the key to success - it manages the overwhelm and does not take up too much time
